Let us know what you thought of the BOTT sermons, and how the Lord is speaking to you. If He gave you a word for change in POA, then let your voice be heard.
This is not to cause division in POA, but to join together as in 1 Corinthians 11:17-19
17In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. 18In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. 19No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.

ReplyDeleteMy heart is heavy for our future leaders, after Bro. Arnolds message how can our so called worship leader continue to dress like a circus clown! Will noone stand up and call a spade a spade. With so many that have passed on, who will fill their shoes? If it is left up to what's going on, it will be nothing more than a light show production, led by a bunch of queers!!!

I must say that it is nice to have stumbled upon this blog in regards to Because Of The Times. For years now, I have only hoped for a place that I could express my deepest gratitude for The Pentecostals of Alexandria for holding such an event. To all the POA family, thank you for your hospitality. It is second to none. To the speakers, thanks for the words of encouragement and heart felt word that you had from the Lord. I left with a sense of direction for our church, knowing that I am right where God WANTS me, despite what others around me are doing. I must say that Jeff Arnold's title, "The Lord Of What's Left", is exactly what I have being praying, so for me, it was a confirmation. Thanks again, and hopefully I will be at Because Of The Time 2012.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Rev. Tom
Hollywood bimbo's at the PoA. You gotta be shitting me.
ReplyDeleteI would like say that this blog is NOT a place for you to voice your NEGATIVE thoughts or concerns. If you have a problem with the POA, then I respectfully ask you to keep your thoughts or comments to yourself. This blog is about what God is saying to you as a individual and Christian coming out of BOTT.
ReplyDeleteI ask that the administrator of this site, please remove the vulgar, negative remarks, as there are some here that would like to keep this positive.
I agree with you.
DeleteI was not able to attend BOTT but I do attend church at the POA on a regular basis. Since I wasn't able to attend, I purchased a couple of DVDs. I bought Wayne Huntley's and Jeff Arnolds. Both are amazing and anointed of God although Jeff Arnold's message has caused me to really open my eyes to some things that are taking place in our church (the POA). I can not and will not speak for other churches. I used to be in the choir but have long since removed myself from it because of leadership reasons. None of this has to do with Kevin Howard. He is a true anointed vessel of God. However, the other music leader, is a different story. His rude, belittling attitude towards others is very much something that he has a problem with. I'm sorry that I don't have a lot of TALENT, but my heart is sincere and for that, I can not and will not apologize. Going to church used to mean something, now it is a who's who of who can show off the most. The music today is somewhat annoying and lacks true anonting, that's probably because it comes from the lips of some who themselves are not anointed. Church has become a production, as one has already said, and less of God. I guess Jeff Arnold was right and you would do yourself good to get his DVD from BOTT11 and watch it. Not just for the POA, but for all churches. We are supposed to be the CHURCH! Anyway, I'm somewhat embarrassed by our so called leaders, they better wake up and take care of the situation at hand, or Satan will creep in unware! But I'm afraid that this will fall on deaf ears and what we USED to have will be list forever. THE NIGHT TIME COMETH, is one preacher shouted at BOTT! Pastor Anthony and Pastor Terry better deal with the situation now and REMOVE the so called TALENT, before it is too late. I believe God was speaking to our church and so do pastor friends of mine. WAKE UP, WAKE UP, I HAVE LOST MY BRIDEGROOM.....
ReplyDeleteYou are right on. First, I would like to say that one of the preachers you mentioned has a habit of saying in.his sermans that he doesn't "give a flip about", which is getting g too close to that terrible word. Perhaps he's trying to connect with the youth, but I got to where I stopped listening to him on YouTube simply because of that. Now,about the theatrical entertainment, the contemporary gospel songs. Where did all that come from? Why do the Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal Churches (almost all, there are a few who haven't become "worldly") participate in singing songs that aren't from the Pentecostal Praises hymnals? Why are there overhead projectors putting words on screens to sing. And no music notes for there are folks who learned to sing following music notes. Singing g these songs over and over many times, the same words per service trying to get people into the Spirit doesn't make sense when the Spirit loves the old hymns. If you have older folks in your services who grew up in this faith, you will most likely find that they feel lost when these songs are sung, as they don't move the Spirit in them, but as soon as you play ANY of the old hymns, the tears start to spill over and down their cheeks, their lips begin to quiver, they begin to praise the Lord, and they begin to speak in other tongues...If you guys don't see what is going on with the seasoned saints, you've lost touch. I listen to many apps from Google play store which are all UPC and I have the websites of others I listen to, but not live if I can help it. Why? Because I don't want to hear those songs. They don't play the old hymns. I'll watch them when they are archived then I can slide it over to where preaching begins. My prayers for the Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal Church is and has been for them to go back to the old Pentecostal hymns, for the Lord to wake them up.

Delete"I'm gonna pull the whole thing down! I gonna bring the whole corrupt, diseased temple down on your head and it's going to be BIBLICAL!"
ReplyDeleteTim Leblanc and Zane Dubois brought back real music to the POA, someone tell flippity flippity Dean, you don't put an expiration on those songs. That's what the church was founded on! Since the Pastors won't tell you, I will " Quit dressing like a fairy, and do something with your hair... Your BALD, deal with it!!
ReplyDeleteAfter listening to the sermon preached by Jeff Arnold from BOTT 2011, I am reminded of an old proverb/joke, but holds true to life. I can't help that even though Jeff Arnold had a word for all, that he undoubtedly was talking to one church in particular. I have several friends and family that attend this church, so I get to hear all the likes, dislikes, who's who etc.. Anyway, for what's worth, the prover/joke involves a Cow, a Bird and a Cat. You decide, after watching Jeff Arnold's message who is which animal.
ReplyDeleteProverb/Joke:
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It got so cold it froze up and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As it lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the little bird singing, and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out-and then ate him.
The morals of the story are:
1. Not everyone who craps on you is your enemy.
2. Not everyone who gets you out of crap is your friend.
3. When you're in deep crap, keep your mouth shut.
It's obvious! Don't you think!
Someone said, BOTT means "Because Of The Television"
ReplyDeleteThat's some funny stuff stmatthew, but there's some truth to it. All of the preachers who are in the UPCI movement who have declared not to own a tv in their home but have justified it through their cell phones and computers. You know as well as I, they can't wait to get to a hotel so they can watch it in their rooms. I'm sorry, but there needs to be some restructuring in the by-laws of the UPCI. I'm sorry but a spade is a spade and you can't say that it's ok to do this but not this and it's the exact same, just a different format. I not supposed tI watch television but they live on the golf courses, getting angry and mad because they make a bad shot. Food for thought.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, just venting a little bit! However, Because Of The Times 2011 was awesome. Truly inspirational and of God. Every speaker had a word from the Lord and I left feeling like God had spoken to me directly. Can't wait for Because Of The Times 2012. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
Any thoughts on doing a webcast of the services? It's a long drive from Wisconsin and if gas prices continue to rise, I want be able to drive down next year.
Thanks again and may the Lord bless you.
Mr dean........ just leave.......... and to all other PoA asskissers............. leave.. to anyone at poa who is acting all mighty powerfully but cowardly to others................... leave.......... we need our old church back........... I'm praying very hard that our church fills in the black dark void that G. A. UNEXPECTEDLY left.
ReplyDeleteWith a mouth like that, you need to pray.

ReplyDeletethat youtube clip is gay... face it!
ReplyDeleteas an outsider, WOTR.... worship on the river should be changed to AJDS... another johnothon dean show... thats just what it was.... another freaking johnothon dean show... I'm not sure who's over the music at the poa.. are they blind, deaf? or are their hands tied so they have to continue to promote some charasmatic fake? you can dance around with whatever sugarcoating you want to dance with... poa seems to worry about their image, but this is one image that keeps getting slammed in front of everybody... it should be changed to one that is an image of him leaving... do away with the all of the music and start from scratch. On the dvd I watched of Bro Arnold, he has already said it... let God be the God of what's left... oh, and by the way... yes, I do have the Holy Ghost... but that doesn't make me blind!!!

ReplyDeleteOh My, this is good reading....
ReplyDeleteWell it's time for me to speak my peace... Dear POA you have birthed boy gaga with your worship leader Johnathan Dean.... Johnathan, your appearance as a leader is a disgrace to MANkind... The web and fliers all show that Kevin Howard is the minister of music, this doesn't reflect his vision at all.... Kevin it's time to take over your department!!!! Pastors it's apparent that you are not going to do anything with boy gaga, so looks like we will... Boy gaga, go babysit your yogurt shop with the other queer that pastors our youth!!!
ReplyDeleteI like lady gaga. Calling mr dean that is an insult. I think his proper name should be boy george. As for him leaving, well when you are under the wing of the vice presidant, you still have protection from the secret service. Just let boy george lick his own icecream.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading these post and my heart is troubled and hurt because of some of these comments. To think that someone would even think like this and make such snide accusations toward the leaders of the POA.
ReplyDeleteAs Christians you are allowed to have people in your lives they you do not like. I know of no scriptural directive that commands us to like everyone. But I know many verses that tell us to love other people. Here are just two of many:
And this commandment we have from God, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. (1 John 4:21)
Jesus said: "Love your enemies. For if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them"
(Luke 6:32 & 35).
It's clear that as Christians we are to love people–all people, yes, even the people we work with and go to church with. But what about those unlikable people? Since we cannot like them, we usually conclude that we cannot love them either. Don't we have to like people before we can love them? How can we love someone we don't like?
Part of the problem is that we misunderstand the word love. The kind of love that we need in order to love people we don't like is agape love, God's kind of love. Now, agape love is not a feeling. Though we may experience nice feelings as a result of agape love, it does not depend on how we feel or how others feel about us. We can express agape love whether the feelings are present or absent, whether they are good or bad. This kind of love is not a feeling.
Agape love is an ACTION. The Bible tells us that we know that God loves us because He sent His Son into the world to redeem us. We know that Jesus loves us because He gave His life. The Bible says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man give his life for a friend." And God says that He will know that we love Him if we keep His commandments. God's kind of love is an action, not a feeling.
Now, that really is good news, because it tells me that I can love people toward whom I do not necessarily have good feelings. I can love people toward whom I have no feelings at all. Think: Who are the people you will be dealing with today or tomorrow that you really don't like? Will you ask God to help you understand how to love them, even though you don't like them?
Aren't you glad that God's love to us is not based on how He feels about us? He may be, and I'm sure often is, very displeased with us as individuals, yet His love and goodness toward us are constant. That encourages me, because it means that God does not require me to have good feelings toward everyone, and like you, I've discovered there are people I just don't like.
You don't have to like someone to love them. Webster defines like as to "feel an attraction, tenderness or affection for someone.” We say "I like you because...", and we list the things we like about the person.
But agape love says, "I love you in spite of...", in spite of the things about you that I may not like. We don't have to feel guilty about not liking everyone. It's okay! But we are commanded to love others.
cont.....
I'm sure there were people Jesus did not like. Ever read what He said to the religious hypocrites of His day? Pretty direct. I don't think He liked them very much at all.
ReplyDeleteBut I know He loved them, because He died for them. Love is not a feeling, love is an action. So, this is our responsibility–to love others, whether we like them or not.
Paul said in his letter to the Romans that the Holy Spirit, who was given to us, has poured out the love of God within our hearts (Romans 5:5). Think about God's love for you. John wrote: "To us, the greatest demonstration of God's love for us has been His sending His only Son into the world to give us life through Him. We see real love, not in the fact that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to make personal atonement for our sins."
And remember, God's love is without respect of persons. He loves those people you don't like just as much as He loves you. Let God's love pour all over you and fill you. Remember how He loves you, even when you're not very lovable. That's the beginning of learning how to love other people, even the ones you don't like so much.
You see, when you start learning to love them, they no longer have the ability to get to you like they used to. Oh, they may still have irritating habits and personalities, but they just will not bug you like before. It's amazing how that happens. You realize, "Wow, I'm free from that awful dread of seeing them coming or having to deal with them, because even though I don't really like them, I really do love them the way Jesus does."
So I pray for you and for God's love to abound in your life, because when that they day comes and you stand before God, you WILL give an account, and you don't want to be found wanting.
God Bless,
Well you Love him then, as for me and the rest of the non gay lovers we will continue to call out these worship leaders who Love themselves and their appearance more than God!!!! If you would like to discuss this in a civilized forum, meet me at Spoons when it opens!!
ReplyDeleteGood sermon. But i did not die on a cross for people who stand idle and watch others suffer. If this world did not any police officers watching over us , it would be the worst for everyone. There are rulers that are placed on this earthly place that provide rules and laws and standard for us. When they fail it is our duty to protect our laws and principals. We must not fail in losing our church to people that ripp up. Pull down. And destroy what was created long ago. We love everyone. But we will not allow this to continue any more. Let me see.......book clubs....shockconnects......are not agape. This is to prepare the coming of a dictatorship. And this is not how a church should be setup. Poa should be one mind and one accord. Not seperation. This hurts i know. But trutg is not fun or likeable. It agape.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to see Dean or Endsley you will have to go to Spoons... A spin off of 3 Spoons of Texas!!!! Don't you guys get paid by tithing dollars at the POA.... Sounds like a conflict of interest!!!! And no johnathan this was not your IDEA... You are fake all the way down to your worship!!! Now that's Agape!!!
ReplyDeleteSo, apparently, as of the first of 2013, JD is no longer on staff at POA? Anyone at POA want to shed some light on this?
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with Johnathan Dean. Just because someone doesn't do something the way you do, it doesn't mean they're wrong.
ReplyDeleteI grew up listen to these people. It hurts me to hear people say so many hurtful remarks. Even if any of it is true and I don't believe it for a minute I wonder if anyone has ever made you feel as low as you have tried to make him. I pray that God blesses him. That is what we are suppose to do. The whole bible is full of people who made mistakes ( and I am not saying that's what has happened here) but What if he did... does the word not say All have fallen short...not some...we cant live up to each others expectations because we all place value on different things. I was raised if you don't have something nice to say about someone keep your mouth shut and pray for them. Its sad to say in the old church they did this and the new church isn't following who will fill the shoes of the old church. Get the gossip out of your mouth and pray for the new church. We need it ... all of us... these are hard times... Pray
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me why I left the UPC, and Christianity in general. Your unkind words don't belong anywhere in my life.
